Vibrations and frequencies

Everything around us resonates at varying vibrating frequencies.

When you stub your toe on a rock, your physical energy interacts with that stone — resulting in a pain vibration that is interpreted by the brain, which then assigns its own frequency of particles and waves to the sensation.

All of this is our reality — it happens. But what lies behind it, how it truly works, remains a mystery. Can we ever fully understand this energy?

The beauty is: energy can work for us. But we can also work with energy. Like in energetic healing methods — guiding energy to flow in the right direction, transforming emotional vibrations, and in doing so, improving our health.

Vibrations and energetic frequencies — spiritual?

More and more research is now being done on this, and it’s increasingly being linked to health sciences. Scientists are studying how energy can be used to improve our wellbeing.

Everything around us, and within us vibrates. Even on a cellular level. These vibrations emit electromagnetic energy waves. The temperature outside affects the vibration of our cells and molecules. Music also vibrates, and we often associate music with emotions. That one song you love can instantly shift your mood.

We can raise our own frequency through simple but powerful practices:breathing exercises, meditation (the word “OM” vibrates too), expressing gratitude, being generous, nourishing food, spending time outdoors, yoga, massage/healing work, Reiki, acupuncture, magnetic stimulation such as The Emotion Code®, and using crystals.

A frequency is measurable energy. It refers to the speed at which vibrating energy moves. Just like certain frequencies can be healing, others can actually be harmful. (Read more here…)

When you’re mentally and physically healthy, you vibrate at around 734 consciousness hertz or higher.

Every word, thought, and intention also carries its own vibration — even the conversations you have in your own mind (as shared in a previous post). These inner dialogues can uplift you… or drain you.

Did you know that illness can begin at a frequency of just 58 Hz?Different diseases even carry distinct frequencies. Shame and guilt, for example, vibrate as low as 20 to 30 Hz.

And here’s a wild fact: alcohol vibrates at just 1 Hz.

So if you want to raise your vibration, be kind to yourself in your thoughts (which my post on “vibration” talks about). But also — eat well, move your body, relax, and make room for joy (perhaps with one less glass of wine 😉).All of these help elevate your overall frequency.

Vibrate higher!

Energy vibrates. And we humans? We’re bundles of energy, constantly vibrating throughout the day (yes, really!).Your vibration is the energy you emit — and energy influences us just as much in return.

Ever crossed paths with someone in a bad mood on your commute to work?Did it affect your energy or throw your day off without you realizing it?

Raising your vibration means shifting into a higher frequency, promoting positive energy — moment by moment. It allows you to rise into greater clarity, love, awareness, and peace.

The more you learn to tune your own energy, the more you’ll notice how your “vibe” influences your experience of life. You might’ve heard or read: “You’re responsible for your own happiness” and thought, “Yeah right, as if!”

But it’s actually true. The kinder and more positive you are — the more that same energy comes back to you (hello manifestation & Law of Attraction).

This doesn’t have to be big. It starts small.Try flipping a negative thought into a positive one — immediately, 180 degrees.

Practice more gratitude, appreciation, or love — even just in your thoughts.About yourself, about others, or simply about life.

There is only one you.Be a little kinder, a little softer. Speak with more gentleness — to yourself and about yourself.

If you catch yourself thinking, “I look terrible in these pants” or “I’m so dumb for not getting this,”… try repeating the Ho'oponopono mantra:

I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.

You can say it daily — as a new ritual — to break your cycle of negative self-talk.
